A: Both are chemicals that are used in some nail polishes, top coats and base coats to help polish adhere better. Since they are hazardous materials that penetrate through the natural nail and can have a drying effect on the natural nail, Kiss does not use Toluene or Formaldehyde. All Kiss products are Toluene and Formaldehyde-free. |

Acrylic is the most durable and protective overlay and will take a bit longer to remove safely. DO NOT PICK OR ATTEMPT TO PRY OFF ACRYLIC as you will inflict pain and damage to your natural nails!
1.Begin by trimming as much length as possible.
2. Place paper towels over work area to protect table surface.
3. Fill a glass or aluminum bowl with an acetone-based remover, enough to fully submerge fingertips. (It is best to use pure acetone, usually available at most beauty supply stores or hardware stores.) HINT: To speed up the process, place bowl within another larger bowl filled with hot water. The increased temperature will accelerate the acetone’s removal.
NEVER PLACE IN MICROWAVE OR ON STOVE TO HEAT!
4. Apply cuticle oil or petroleum jelly to cuticles and surrounding skin before placing in remover.
5. Soak for approximately 30 to 45 minutes until overlay is completely softened and melts off. Wipe off any overlay residue with a paper towel.
6. Use a very fine grit file or buff block to smooth any ridges or rough areas on the nail surface.
7. Wash hands thoroughly.
8. Apply moisturizer. |
