  1. Apply the prepared lightening mixture 1 inch away from the scalp using the enclosed brush.

  2. Make sure the mixture is evenly distributed on hair.

  3. Leave enough for root application later.

  4. Check every 5 to 10 minutes to see hair color and condition to prevent over-processing.

  5. After the lengths have been lightened to the desired level, apply the remaining mixture onto the root area.

  6. Gently smooth mixture into roots and check every 5 to 10 minutes.

  7. Do not leave it on hair for more than 60 minutes.

Maybe I did it wrong?

"I got the up with electric pink and amethyst. I left the colors on for an hour so it would be very vibrant. Took out the foils, rinsed and cannot hardly see the amethyst at all, and I had already bleached my hair 3 days before. Pink shows up some but was I supposed to mix the colors with some of the developer or what because it’s totally runny and doesn’t take well at all. Two days later I cannot make out the purple at all and have not at all washed my hair yet since rinsing it out."
