The revolutionary Instawave is a fully automatic curling iron that easily creates beautiful, long lasting curls in an instant. The barrel rotates to curl hair automatically. Achieve salon styled curls at home with just a push of a button.

Use & Tips


  1. Slide switch to the LOW or HIGH temperature setting. LOW SETTING = looser curls or waves; HIGH SETTING = tighter curls or spirals.

  2. Determine the style and direction of curl you'd like. When curling, the longer your hair is heated, the tighter the curl will be. Looser curls or waves: curl for 3-5 seconds on LOW settings; Medium curls: Curl for 4-8 seconds on LOW or HIGH setting; Tighter curls or spirals: 6-10 seconds on HIGH setting.

  3. Once indicator light is blue, place Instawave parallel along length of approximately 1 - 2 inch sections of hair. Do not hold Instawave horizontally.

  4. Press button to begin rotating the curl barrel. The Curl Dial will automatically begin catching and curling hair.

  5. Continue pressing button until hair is fully around barrel. Hold Instawave in place until you hear a beep.

  6. This beep sound will indicate your curl is ready. After the beep sound, guide Instawave straight down to release beautifully curled hair! Do not pull Instawave diagonally.

  7. To allow the curl to set, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.

  8. Repeat steps throughout the head until you have as many curls as you'd like!

  9. WARNING: Please follow directions as noted, the risk of tangling hair will increase if directions are not followed.
